Christmas Reading Challenge

From the 6th of December until the 10th of January 2022, we will be holding a Christmas readathon!

What is a Readathon?

Do you know what a readathon is? A readathon is where you read as much as you can over the course of a specified time. You can choose whatever books you would like to read – including non-fiction! You record the books you’ve read and then add them to a record where all other participants can see what you read over the time period.

Whoever reads the most from each group will win a prize! All are welcome to take part.

We have lots of new books in the library including The Henna Wars, Heartland, The Ballad of Snakes and Songbirds, Midnight Sun and lots more.

You can borrow these from the library for up to 3-weeks. Be sure to call in and have a browse, especially to have some great stories to read over the Christmas break. Not sure what to read? Please let Ms. Curtin know.

We hope you will take part in the Readathon and enjoy the many adventures you get to go on through reading!

And the results are in….!

Our Readathon has come to an end and we read 75 books between 06 December and 10 January. Well done all! Congratulations to Ava (1W), Jane (2Y), Sofia (3Y), Alice (4C), Clodagh (5N) and Jennifer (6C) for reading the most in their year groups!
