Fighting Words Creative Writing Supplement in the Irish Times The annual Fighting Words creative writing supplement for the Irish Times is now accepting submissions. Each year, teenagers are invited to submit their creative writing pieces for a chance to be published. Fighting Words are looking for poems (max. 2 poems per person), prose and creative writing pieces (max. 1500 words) for their supplement. The deadline for entries is 17:00 on Wednesday 22nd of December. How to Enter All pieces must by typed up and emailed to Fighting Words for consideration. Summer Stars Short Story Competition
What is it? The Summer Stars short story competition is now opened to entries from individuals aged between 6 to 18. There are three categories for entries: age 6-9, age 10-14, age 15-18. The prompt for this years competition is: Of all the places in the world, I never thought I would be here. All entries should be no more than 500 words.
