Fighting Words Creative Writing Supplement in the Irish Times The annual Fighting Words creative writing supplement for the Irish Times is now accepting submissions. Each year, teenagers are invited to submit their creative writing pieces for a chance to be published. Fighting Words are looking for poems (max. 2 poems per person), prose and creative writing pieces (max. 1500 words) for their supplement. The deadline for entries is 17:00 on Wednesday 22nd of December. How to Enter All pieces must by typed up and emailed to Fighting Words for consideration. The Edna O’Brien Young Writers Bursary 2021
What is it? “The Edna O’Brien Young Writers Bursary is an immersive, week-long programme running both online and onsite in MoLI in July 2021 (subject to public health guidelines). 15 selected students will develop their creative practice under the guidance of a leading Irish author, as well as meeting with representatives from the publishing industry, UCD academic staff and other writers.” Application Details The application is now open for students.
